Associate Analyst, SEM - Cherry Hill, NJ - Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania - New York, NY - Philadelphia, PA

The Associate Analyst, SEM is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned client accounts, including campaign creation, optimizations, reporting, and quality assurance (QA). Working alongside media, analytics, and cross-functional account teams, this role ensures campaigns are fully integrated and aligned with overall strategy. The Associate Analyst will also assist senior search team members with keyword research, competitive analysis, and strategic campaign planning.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Setup & Execution

  • Outline account architecture including keyword match types, ad groups, keywords, landing page URLs, ad extensions, and tailored ad copy that aligns with search queries.
  • Build bulksheets, create tracking URLs, and seamlessly launch search and programmatic campaigns.
  • Create, format, and update Med/Legal submission documents for assigned accounts.

Optimization & Performance Management

  • Run diagnostic reports across paid search, video, contextual, and programmatic accounts to identify red flags or growth opportunities that improve reach, delivery, and ROI.
  • Regularly pull and review Search Query Reports (SQRs) to mine for high-performing keywords and expand negative keyword lists.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to execute A/B testing for landing pages and creative copy. Assist in creating bidding strategies and configuring bid management rules.

Ad Tech & Platform Utilization

  • Build expertise in leading ad tech platforms such as Google Search Ads 360 (SA360/DoubleClick) and Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs) like The Trade Desk to manage and optimize live campaigns.

Budgeting, Reporting & Vendor Management

  • Maintain spend allocation and pace campaign budgets according to set client targets. Tenaciously troubleshoot and escalate technical issues as needed.
  • Partner with the Analytics team to produce comprehensive performance reports and actionable insights.
  • Coordinate regularly with platform vendors and representatives on joint optimization recommendations.

Research & Industry Insights

  • Conduct competitive research to inform strategy across client campaigns.
  • Stay current with emerging tools, ad formats, industry trends, and SEM best practices through continuous research, industry events, and conferences.

What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional detail orientation with strong multitasking and organizational capabilities.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (familiarity with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs).

  • Knowledge of web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture, WebTrends) and bid management tools (e.g., Google Search Ads 360, The Trade Desk) is a plus.

  • Prior background or experience in the Healthcare / Pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $35,000-$65,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
