Analyst, Client Finance

Support the Client Finance team to ensure the highest quality of financial service to our clients. In collaboration with all internal departments and Client Finance team members, provide support of clients’ financial management, including SOWs, client billing and reporting as well as administrative and staff functions.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Assist with the monitoring of staff timesheets to ensure billing accuracy; provide feedback to staff for revisions
  • Assist with Client Finance delivered training (Timesheet, Financial, Foundation), ensuring that all applicable new hires have completed each relevant training
  • Independently maintain budget trackers including working media budgets, expenses, fees, and aging reports; coordinate with media team to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain internal permissions and access requests for assigned clients
  • Assist with populating quarterly reforecasts, ensuring all budget projections are accurately represented for fee and working media breakouts
  • Independently maintain current client Purchase Order #s (PO#s) and investigate/resolve any issues
  • Assist with identifying pacing issues within SOWs and support Client Finance team with consulting Media teams to resolve issues
  • Independently monitor actual hours/expenses vs. estimated for each assigned brand and implement adjustments
  • Demonstrate understanding of all CMI services and proprietary research offerings



  • Bachelor’s degree or Specialized Training:
  • 1-2 years of prior financial management or media experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of all online and offline media functions (Media Planning, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Programmatic Media Buying, Social, Analytics, Technology, etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Project management skills and time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve and provide alternative solutions
  • Interest/passion to work with numbers/finances
