Manager, Media Automation

The Manager, Media Automation is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of owned email and multi-channel marketing automation campaigns under management by CMI, on behalf of our life science clients. 

  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of CMI owned email and marketing automation campaigns
  • Serve as CMI’s internal custom email and CXM (customer experience management) expert and liaison to all external stakeholders in custom email and CXM initiatives, including, but not limited to, clients, creative teams, data and asset managers, and strategic partners.
  • Quote, negotiate and contract campaign SOWs with CXM clients
  • Manage and grow relationships with strategic suppliers and/or service providers
  • Manage subcontractors and oversee their interaction with CMI clients & client data
  • Explore, vet, and onboard new supplier partners to participate in emerging initiatives
  • Onboard and train new staff on operational procedures and systems & software
  • Present iNBOX and CXM capabilities to prospective clients and internal media teams as a means of procuring new business
  • Standardize departmental practices and SOPs
  • Advise clients and planning teams on best practices for successful management of programs
  • Present campaign results to clients and CMI staff
  • Issue client invoices using Proact proprietary UI and troubleshoot P&L transactional issues
  • Reconcile vendor billing with Optima accounting and approve all final job costs
  • Troubleshoot any issues with assets and proactively offer solutions
  • Work with clients and creative agencies on retrieval and cataloguing of creative assets for email and other channels
  • Develop reports of email and multi-channel campaign performance for distribution to internal and external stakeholders
  • Verify and validate reports, data and other relevant business documents, with input from management as needed
  • Work with suppler community to license emails on behalf of clients and/or CMI
  • Oversee testing procedures between CMI, creative teams, and clients
  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage multi-wave marketing campaigns
  • Troubleshoot all system, user and list related issues as they arise
  • Request and upload publisher partner marketing data files on a monthly basis, or as needed
  • Ensure that CMI/Compas Inc. is in adherence of confidentiality protocols as they relate to handling of proprietary marketing assets & target list importing and exporting using sFTP software
  • Prepare and conduct formal training sessions on Proact and CXM Products and Services for media planning teams and direct reports
  • Supervise departmental staff and maintain quality control of work produced by team members
  • Build career development plans for staff and ensure that plans are executed
  • Track performance of staff against goals and regularly provide coaching for excellence
  • Complete yearly performance reviews of staff members

 
REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of experience working in email delivery management and/or marketing automation, or similar combination of experience working in healthcare media or  client services
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience either with direct reports, third-party agents and/or projects
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Technical background and proficiency
  • Experience with HTML and general email design required
  • Experience with marketing automation systems, CRM and/or Email Service Providers (ESP) required
  • Experience working with or servicing pharmaceutical and other life sciences companies preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
