Advisor, People & Culture (Human Resources)

The People & Culture Advisor at CMI/Compas is responsible for a wide variety of human resources activities including employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, on boarding, and HR operations. They will advise managers, supervisors, or administrators in all HR practices, provide information to employees about regulations and policies, and to provide people and business support. They will perform a wide variety of both complex and routine people services.

Responsibilities: 

  • Be a trusted advisor to leaders, managers, and individual contributors to help them deliver their best work every single day.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers on all HR related issues, including but not limited to hiring, career development, and employee relations issues.
  • Connect work and contributions to align with and influence team's business strategies and objectives
  • Help drive implementation of company-wide People and Culture initiatives.
  • Partner on performance and rewards planning processes and compensation activities during the year.
  • Ensure end-to-end HR service delivery by maintaining partnerships across all People Team functions (Recruiting, People Ops). Connect managers and employees with appropriate People Resources.
  • Identify and address critical organizational and people issues, and remove barriers impeding the success of the business.
  • Build performance management capabilities by coaching leaders to effectively address performance issues and deliver effective feedback.

What we're looking for:
  • BA/BS or equivalent practical relevant experience
  • Ability to manage different stakeholders
  • Adept analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication skills that will enable navigation of complex conversations and deliver positive outcomes
  • Skillful in decision making, judgement, and organizational with the ability to stay organize and prioritize competing tasks
  • 4+ years in human resources or equivalent role
