POSITION OBJECTIVES 

Responsible for SEO optimizations and project management for assigned clients. Work across Technical SEO, on-page and content optimization efforts. Reports to SEO Supervisor or SEO Associate Director, depending on team structure. 

 

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

 

  • Knowledge of organic search ranking factors with the ability to make recommendations  
  • Responsible for creating SEO recommendations for client websites 
  • Ability to perform keyword research, write optimized metadata tags, provide recommendations on internal linking, content promotion, content creation and implementation of schema markup 
  • Work alongside creative agencies to ensure SEO recommendations fit within timelines and are include in client website updates 
  • Support senior team members in project management efforts, including finding efficiencies by improving upon processes  
  • Self-educate to improve SEO skillset by staying up to date with shifts in the marketplace as well as the latest changes in the pharma space and altering recommendations to stay ahead of the curve 
  • Contribute to maintaining the client relationship through telecom and in-person meetings 
  • Develop a strong understanding of client disease states and prescription drugs, helping them leverage SEO to reach HCPs, patients and caregivers 
  • Contribute to ongoing thought leadership across the SEO team 
  • Leverage your expertise in technical SEO to ensure client websites are built and maintained following best practices 
  • Analyze data in order to make optimization recommendations to be implemented by creative agency 
  • Adhere to a quality assurance process to ensure work meets high standards and is free of errors 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market and how search plays a role in the decision making process 
  • Stay abreast of new tools, trends and best practices in search marketplace through research and/or industry events and conferences 
  • Build new and enhance existing strategic skills by assisting in presentation building  
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, and Adobe Omniture  
  • Utilize tools such as Screaming Frog, MOZ, BrightEdge, Google Webmaster tools and other to perform analysis of client websites 
  • Develop an understanding of how social listening can help drive content strategy 
  • A basic understanding of paid media and how SEO can help support overall marketing efforts 
     
     
     

 

REQUIREMENTS 

 

Education, Certifications, Specialized Training: 
 

  • PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of MS Office particularly Excel 
  • Knowledge of Web Analytics software, such as Omniture, Google Analytics and SEO Tools such as MOZ and SEMrush  
  • Healthcare/Pharmaceutical background a plus 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing, business or any quantitative or analytical related fields 
  • 1+ years of SEO experience
