Manager, Data Analytics

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless execution and delivery of products and services in the Data Management suite by actively mentoring staff, developing team-level goals and objectives, working directly with clients to understand their needs, and provided expertise and input on key deliverables and processes.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Manage the coordination of day-to-day operations of Compas/CMI database merge/match services
  • Perform QA checks on all data exchanges to and from CMI
  • Troubleshoot all system, user and list related issues as they arise
  • Issue client invoices as needed
  • Merge marketing buy data with physician target lists using Excel or SQL
  • Ensure upkeep of training modules & materials necessary to train staff and/or other departments
  • Ensure maintenance of internal system and process documentation for all data assets, update SOP’s, and communicate changes to team members
  • Ensure adherence to confidentiality protocols as they relate to data exchanges
  • Manage all ad hoc list match requests
  • Capture data gaps and present new opportunities relating to our proprietary systems and offerings
  • Maintain and build relationships with key customers and partners
  • Participate in initiatives to monitor, analyze and improve core system performance, accuracy and efficiency
  • Investigate and analyze market trends for white papers and other written thought pieces
  • Perform or coordinate UAT on internal database systems, in-house applications, and new products and data assets
  • Acquire, manage and disseminate key customer insights across the organization through POV’s, research reports and informal communications
  • Manage the development and execution projects designed to support media teams in fulfilling brand needs
  • Integrate relevant business knowledge and information across projects to provide actionable insights related to reporting, processes, or data strategy for both external clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the data requirements for custom projects and aggregate data sources
  • Serve as the lead data expert on all assigned client projects

  SUPERVISION

  • Supervise departmental staff and maintain quality control of work produced by team members
  • Build career development plans for staff and ensure those plans are executed
  • Track performance of staff against yearly and quarterly goals
  • Complete yearly performance reviews of staff members
  • Monitor and optimize team workflows

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau
  • Self-Motivated
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Track record of success and independent thinking
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a changing environment
  • 4+ years of experience joining data from structured/unstructured data sources
  • 5-7 years of experience working with secondary data for marketing
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a team
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of HCP’s and relevant data sources for marketing to HCP’s
  • Working knowledge of SQL or another programming language preferred
  • Experience working with or servicing pharmaceutical and other life sciences companies preferred
