Payroll Operations Specialist
- Review and process new hire documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness in Workday.
- Compile and verify payroll changes, including location updates, salary adjustments, benefit modifications, and employment status changes.
- Calculate salary continuation for employees on leave, adhering to state-specific disability guidelines.
- Assist with retirement plan and benefit provider interactions, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Review time clock entries for non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Prepare the gross pay to headcount report for approval.
- Provide administrative support for expense reporting and travel software.
- Calculate accruals for hourly employees for time worked but not yet compensated.
- Supply payroll-related positive pay details to cash management.
- Review the permissions report for TD Bank for audit compliance.
- Provide administrative support for QuickBooks.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a payroll/benefits environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
