Senior Analyst
General Overview
The Senior Analyst, Client Finance, assists in providing financial support to client account teams and monitoring the finances and budgets related to specific client assignments and projects. The role requires effective collaboration with all internal departments with key responsibilities in the areas of staffing resource allocation, management of SOWs, client billing and reporting as well as administrative and staff functions.   The role builds on responsibilities of the Analyst through increasingly independent management of tasks and provides the foundational training needed for SOW creation and execution.  With the support of the manager, the Senior Analyst cultivates  a general knowledge of Client Finance standard operating procedures, agency services, pricing approaches, and agency staff functions in preparation for promotion to Supervisor.
Primary Accountabilities
Financial Operations
·        Independently approve monthly client billing
·        Independently monitor the financial stability of each brand, including identifying pacing issues within SOWs, consult with internal teams to resolve issues
·        Independently monitor staff timesheets to ensure billing accuracy; provide feedback to staff for revisions
Reporting
·        Oversee budget tracking process, providing client-facing accruals (if applicable)
Staffing
·        Independently create and maintain master staffing grid, hours x person, and tracking YTD hours
·        Assist Sup/Dir in developing accurate staff recruiting forecasts for client teams, including succession planning, organic growth and new business
Client Contracts
·        Understand the necessary client-required training and certifications, independently maintain documentation of all certifications; ensuring compliance among teams
Client SOWs
·        Assist Sup/Dir in developing client scope of work (SOW) contracts
Agency Services
·        Demonstrate proficiency with the syndicated research to which we subscribe (HCP & DTP planning & competitive tools, SEO, Social tools), including the ability to explain the type of data available from each as well as pricing
·        Demonstrate applicable knowledge of Empower and proprietary research and data tools, including differences and uses for each, pricing stipulations and invoice timing guidelines
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Requirements
Education, Certifications, Specialized Training:
·        Bachelor’s degree 
·        2-3 years of prior financial management or media planning experience
 
Functional/Technical Knowledge:
·        Strong knowledge of all online and offline media functions (Media Planning, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Programmatic Media Buying, Social, Analytics, Technology, etc.)
·        Strong Excel skills
·        Project management skills and time management skills
·        Ability to problem solve and provide alternative solutions
·        Interest/passion to work with numbers/finances
