Senior Developer, Business Intelligence


 The Senior BI Developer is a senior team member on the technical delivery team and is responsible for day-to-day data management operations for automation efforts on all reporting deliverables, making recommendations to internal and external stakeholders and assisting with the development and delivery of data products within the data management suite.


  • Design, develop, and test report scripts to import and blend data from source systems
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Work with team members to create and automate health reports to continuously monitor the integrity of the data we touch
  • Work with management and other DA team members to create dashboard prototypes
  • Monitor performance of reports and dashboards and take corrective action to optimize and improve performance as necessary
  • Work with management to automate QA efforts as they pertain to reporting, data, dashboard creation and execution
  • Query data to identify gaps and/or trends for the purpose of data analysis & integrity
  • Troubleshoot all system, user and list related issues as they arise
  • Update/maintain process documentation as needed
  • Assist in list management responsibilities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality protocols as they relate to data transfers
  • Assist in the development of new data assets and services that lead to incremental revenue growth
  • Lead internal data audits as needed
  • Maintain and build relationships with key customers (internal and external) and partners
  • Create reports and/or processes to monitor, analyze, and improve core system performance, accuracy and efficiency
  • Continuously seek improvements in all areas of reporting including, but not limited to, analysis, data, tools, process, performance, data quality, education, and communication
  • Perform UAT on all data-related production migrations into our Media Lake / internal systems


  • Successfully develop QA plans and help to automate and implement them
  • Able to successfully develop or modify queries for data aand gap analysis
  • Successfully execute on technical day-to-day operations within the Data Analytics organization
  • Act as subject matter experts on all of our platforms used for data feeds and reporting


  • Lead a team of junior analysts
  • Oversee/review, and approve all deliverables before they are transitioned to internal/external customers


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 1-2 years of experience using Microsoft Excel
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and executing intermediate-level code in any programming language (SQL, R, Python, etc.) for process automation or data blending
  • 4+ years of experience developing dashboards/reports via Tableau or other BI tool
  • 4+ years of experience blending data from structured/unstructured data sources
  • 2+ years of experience mentoring a team of junior analysts
  • Must possess strong Analytical Skills
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach to achieving goals
  • Must possess willingness to learn and adapt to a changing environment
  • 3-4 years of experience working with secondary data for marketing preferred
  • Experience working with or servicing pharmaceutical and other life sciences companies preferred
