Senior Accountant
- Financial Reporting & Close Management: Prepare accurate and timely journal entries and comprehensive reconciliations for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Play a pivotal role in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies.
- Revenue Recognition & Contract Analysis: Review Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Scopes of Work (SOWs) to accurately apply revenue recognition policies in accordance with IFRS 15. Analyze complex contractual terms, identify performance obligations, and collaborate with client finance teams.
- Analysis & Decision Support: Prepare insightful reports and conduct in-depth data analysis to assist in critical financial decision-making, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in budget preparation and analysis, and calculate monthly commission payments.
- Audit & Compliance: Maintain internal controls and support audit readiness (SOX). Assist with internal and external audits, preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- General Ledger & Asset Management: Work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller in managing the General Ledger, and maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
- Experience: 5-10 years of progressive experience in an accounting environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of complex financial operations, including revenue recognition.
- Technical Acumen:
- CPA designation is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP), macros (VBA), and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), specifically IFRS 15 and IFRS 16, is highly preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
- Forward-Thinking Mindset: Proven ability and enthusiasm to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and platforms for data analysis, process automation, and predictive insights.
- Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple priorities, manage time effectively, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
