Director, Data Analytics

The Director is responsible for setting the strategic vision for short and long-term process and deliverable enhancements in conjunction with the Customer Insights & Analytics leadership team. They ensure that the department continually delivers on objectives by working with business leads at CMI and clients, and applying continued learnings into actionable recommendations for departmental growth.

• Set the strategic direction and vision for short and long-term growth of our relationship with key clients and products
• Work across departments to understand client needs and design data managements products, procedures, and deliverables that continually advance CMI’s strategic position
• Continually evaluate and establish new relationships with data suppliers and partners to continually evolve proprietary assets and systems
• Represent the department in client pitches or presentations, at industry events, or with the supplier community
• Work with sales, media and finance to develop client growth goals
• Mentor management staff and create continuous development plans to grow the skills of the department


• BA/BS required
• MBA/other graduate degree preferred
• 10+ years in marketing analytics generation experience
• 5+ years working experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
• Superior analytical skills with proficiency in a broad range of primary and secondary marketing research and analytics
• Analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills to develop actionable insights and recommendations
• Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage a heavy workload
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
